+ Eligibility and Acceptance

  • Your child must be between the ages of 3 and 6 years old at time of enrollment.
  • Your child must have an Autism diagnosis.

+ INSURANCE

  • We are able to offer ABA therapy to families who are insured by Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) and Aetna.
  • A formal diagnosis of Autism is required by an insurance company before they will pre-authorize any ABA therapy benefits relating to Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  • The determination of billable hours will be determined by the insurance company.
  • We cannot bill your insurance for the school tuition, therefore parents are responsible for the school tuition cost, not including ABA services.
  • We do not offer insurance billing for out-of-network insurance companies. We can, however, provide you with the information you will need to submit your own insurance claims.

+ TUITION COST (NOT COVERED BY INSURANCE)

  • Tuition begins at $17,500 for 6 month contract.
  • Each student enrolled in The Caterpillar Program is provided with a therapy service package that includes weekly Speech-Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Neurological Music Therapy.
  • Our therapeutic school will provide programming Monday-Friday (full days) following the school calendar, and will include a 19-day summer program held Mondays through Thursdays.
  • Each student will receive some instruction from a Professional Educator at a student-to-teacher ratio of 2:1. Schedules are individualized to meet the needs of the student. At this ratio, we are able to provide constant support to help students develop critical functional skills that will help them as they grow.

+ ADMISSIONS PROCESS

  • Submit the online admissions application.
  • Pay the non-refundable $550 application fee (Please note: This fee is not reimbursable by the insurance provider).
  • Submit the required supplementary documentation
    • A diagnostic impression (A formal diagnosis of Autism)

Step 2: 1-Hour Program Level Interview

  • Upon receiving your completed admissions packet, we will submit your information for pre-approval by your insurance.
    • After insurance approval, you will be contacted to schedule a remote 1-Hour Program Level Interview. Your student is not required to attend the meeting. We will discuss your child's medical history, skill development, behavior issues, and goals prior to the assessment.

Step 3: Direct Child Assessment

  • After the 1-Hour Program Level Interview, we will schedule an in-person meeting with the parent/caregiver and student. Our BCBA will conduct a 2 to 4 hour comprehensive assessment of your child using the Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VB-MAPP) and other assessment tools.

*Insurance will cover a portion of the assessment fee, the remainder will be paid by the parent/caregiver.

Step 4: Individualized Treatment Plan

  • Based on the assessment, our BCBA will create an individualized treatment plan based on your child's needs. All treatment plans are authorized by your insurance prior to treatment.

Step 5: Admission and Enrollment

  • Afterward, you will be contacted regarding your child's acceptance into the program. If your child has been accepted, we will schedule a meeting to establish a start date, discuss therapy recommendations, plan assessments, coordinate with other treatment providers, and review the Client Services Agreement and Enrollment Contract.
